The steps we will take to set up the blog would be following:
- Choose the blogging topic
- Install WordPress
- Customize Basic Settings
- Install Important Plugins
- Set up a theme and Start Blogging
So, let’s start a blog.
Step 1 – Choose the blogging topic
OK, Good that you want to start a blog. But, what are you going to blog about?
It’s an important question. You should be clear in your mind the things you would like to discuss with the world through your blog.
There should be a niche topic which you should write about in your blog. People have their preference and expectation when they follow a person or a blog. It would not suit for a blog meant for giving scientific research news, publishing comedy show video.
The discussion in a blog should be centric towards a specific thing. Like if you look at my blog “Start A Blog”, it is about blogging and will talk about blogging only.
Think of the case, if you subscribe to my newsletter thinking that I can be helpful in your blogging adventure (I would love if you subscribe). But, soon after I start sending you emails with discussions about share prices. What would you do? You would either ignore me or hit the unsubscribe button.
So, decide the topic you would be blogging about. The topic should be a combination of both, one in which you have some knowledge more than average persons and also you have an interest in discussing and talking about it.
Once you have a clear understanding of the topic of your blog move to Step 2.
